Name: This Ship Sucks Requirements: 3,000 WC Minimum Rewards: 1,000z | 200 XP | 500 SP | 2 TP Description: Your bed is like laying on gravel, the water is lukewarm at best, your food looks and tastes like the guts prop from a horror movie, and you can't take it anymore!! Maybe you can convince the captain to stop at the nearest planet, or space station, so you can unwind. Or, perhaps, just get a good night sleep.

Captain Ginyu groaned to himself as he performed some stretches to relax his sore muscles a bit. The leader of the North Galaxy's most elite fighting force was starting to feel the wear and tear of prolonged space travel, even though he had quite a bit of room to move around in since he was in an actual ship and not just a space pod. He knew that prolonged space travel could start to wear a person out both mentally and physically, but he was really starting to feel it now that food supplies were low while other problems started to crop up. It was most distressing and taxing for him, and he was the kind of person that could push himself far beyond what he's normally capable of to ensure his missions got done. Even for someone like himself though, the space travel was really wearing him down.
He hated having to take breaks when he was in the middle of a very important mission, even though he understood why they were necessary. By taking breaks when on long missions, people could relax and get back up to their full strength by winding down to reduce the fatigue that came with space travel. From a strategic point of view, he recognized and understood the importance of kicking one's feet up and just relaxing. It was frustrating when he had to do it before a mission was even really over because he wanted to make sure a mission was taken care of as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If things kept going on like this though, Captain Ginyu knew that he wouldn't be in the best shape possible when he landed on Planet Pythios and rescued Lady Levi like Emperor Frieza tasked him with doing. He was going to make sure that he rescued her with the utmost efficiency and swiftness as he could, but sadly that required him to be both sane and healthy. If he stayed cooped up in this ship all the time every single day, he was going to go nuts, and not in the elegant fun way either! So as much as he didn't like doing this, he recognized that he was going to have to find a place to land. He needed new beds, restock on the food, fix the water temperature so it could get properly hot and cold again, among a number of other issues.
It disgusted him that he was more under-prepared for this mission than he ever thought he would be. Then again, there was always the possibility that something might pop up at the most inconvenient of times while one was on an extended trip through space. It was a bummer that he would have to cut the trip short for a day or more, but it was really the best option he had at the time. He certainly couldn't go back to Frieza I empty-handed, as the nearest base was so far away, and that would just one of the dirty low priority worlds under the PTO's control. So although he didn't want to, he was going to make a judgement call and find a nice little world for him to rest on.
Pinching the bridge of his nose a bit in irritation at the thought of having to take a break, he cleared his throat and started to speak.
"AI, plot a course to the nearest habitable world with some form of civilization on it. It has to be a decent world with a race that already has space travel and contact with other space-faring races. I will not settle down on a miserable backwater planet to rest up!" Captain Ginyu shouted at one of the speakers in the sleeping quarters he was currently in. The sound of static came in through the speaker to indicate that the AI was about to send a reply, so he crossed his arms and waited for a response of some kind. Thankfully for him though, he wouldn't have to wait long for that reply.
"Orders acknowledged, Captain Ginyu. There is a mid-tier world in this solar system that has all the qualifications you need, at least going by news reports in this section of the galaxy. It is referred to as Belkoria III, a world with vast plains and savannas" the AI said to him in reply to give him some basic info on the planet it was referring to. The information give to him by the AI pleased Captain Ginyu by a fair bit, because he was very glad the detour wouldn't require going a significant distance in order to stop and get some rest. If the information it provided him was accurate, than this Belkoria III would potentially have everything he needed to fix the ship, get some supplies, and have a nice place for him to sleep in until he got the beds replaced.
Nodding his head in a gleeful manner, he spoke to the AI once more.
"I am very pleased to hear this news. Kindly set a course for Belkoria III so I have some downtime and get all the stuff I need to fix on the ship done!" Captain Ginyu said in the typical boisterous manner he was well known for having. He was hoping the detour would be a pleasant one, and not wind up being a miserable hole of a detour that the AI lied about. The damned thing was very flawed in it's current state, so it could be using outdated bits of news about the planet's conditions.
If it was pulling up news discussing the planet though, it's likely that the information was somewhat current and not outdated info. He hoped that the information was accurate, because he was definitely going to stir crazy if he kept traveling through space in his current conditions. Even the best fuel and engines one had available to them couldn't eliminate the natural needs living beings needed. It especially didn't help the more social types by traveling through space entirely on their own like Captain Ginyu was. He was something of a social butterfly after all, and all this traveling without his team and only a lifeless AI to keep him company was starting to get daunting.
He was as dedicated to the cause as he's always been though, so he would power on through it and come out of the entire ordeal with a successful mission. Sure there were some mishaps with him picking up Vasha, stopping to refuel, and a bunch of other misadventures throughout this entire mission, but at least they didn't slow him down too much. Heck he made up for the time he lost doing all those things with the high quality fuel and engines his ship currently because his ship went a lot faster and burned fuel more efficiently than it had when he first left Frieza I. Those two things definitely were pluses in his mind, and he made a mental note to get a bigger ship once he got back to the PTO's Capital and transfer both the surplus of high-quality fuel as well as the incredibly powerful engines over to the one he got once he returned. A bigger ship with more room, as well as comrades to join him on, would just be utterly fantastic for him.
"As you command, Captain Ginyu. Plotting the most efficient course to get us there as we speak" the AI finally replied to himself, before the static on the speakers cut out and went silent to indicate it's talking was done. The moment the AI went silent, Captain Ginyu felt the ship shift positions around on him dramatically. This was such a violent shift that it knocked him off-balance and sent him crashing face-first into a nearby wall. He groaned painfully to himself as he staggered away from the wall and clutched as his face, feeling very angry that the AI changed the course of the ship as dramatically as it did.
"You stupid piece of junk! You should have altered the ship's course more gently!" the eccentric body snatcher hissed out, albeit his words sounded slurred and were lisping because his nose broke upon the hard impact against the wall. Grumbling to himself under his breath about the stupidity of the AI, he stepped into the medical room and stripped off both his scouter and battle uniform. He then typed a code into one of the medical pods keypad to prepare a session in the healing tank for himself because he didn't want to speak to anyone on Belkoria III with a broken nose.
At least if he did wind up having to speak to anyone. He could always raid the world and take everything he needed for himself, but he wouldn't be going to Belkoria III on any official Frieza Force business. Considering he had no business there outside of doing a necessary stop, he felt no need to cause any unnecessary problems for himself. It wasn't like he was cruel or delighted in the suffering of other people, at least barring very special circumstances, and he wasn't a filthy space pirate. He continued to think these things to himself as he hooked himself up to the healing pod, letting the healing liquids doze him off into a blissful slumber.
The ship quickly moved into the atmosphere of the planet, settling down in a landing bay after he was given clearance to land by the dock workers. Once the ship landed, Captain Ginyu exited the ship and paid the docking fee that came standard on all planets with intergalactic travel that wasn't affiliated with any kind of galaxy-spanning regime. He was glad that he reactivated his bank accounts when he made his return to PTO space, as otherwise he wouldn't know what he would do on this mission in regards to getting anything done. Thankfully he didn't have to worry about that though, and could just explore this world and stock up on supplies, fix the water temperature on the ship, and get so many other things done that he couldn't do while he was stuck on that ship. Even with it being more spacious than the attack pods, it still wore him down quite a bit.
Once he was out of the ship and the landing bay, he made his way to what appeared to be some kind of gym. Although gyms were so far below him now in terms of giving him a good workout, he could always work off the tension in his muscles in order to hep himself relax a bit more. However, he would do that after he got everything else he needed to do done first. It wouldn't do for him to work out first, because the exhaustion and tension in his muscles let him know that he would be at it for a great number of hours. How many hours he couldn't say for sure, but he knew this current body well enough to know how long it would take to turn down the tension in his muscles. He was going to get all of the more important stuff done first though, just because he wanted to be ready to go once everything has been taken care of.
Consulting a directory that was in this part of the space port, he found some kind of supermarket of sorts that would be able to give him all of the food supplies he needed to replenish since the stuff he had left were just bland and tasteless emergency rations. He wasn't particularly a militaristic man, but he's grown used to having access to higher quality supplies and stuff being the most valuable soldier that the PTO had. He just couldn't go back to the days of surviving off rations like the low level goons had to do, he wouldn't allow himself to suffer that again. Wanting to make sure he had good food to last him the rest of the trip, he made his way to the supermarket and purchased a large haul of foods to make sure that his food supplies didn't run low again while he was still on the mission. As soon as he left the supermarket, he used his minor telekinetic abilities to levitate all the food into the air, and started flying them back to his ship.
Once he returned to his ship, he stored all of the food away into the food synthesizer so that they would be ready to go as soon as he used the thing, he then called up on some of the food in it and started to gorge himself on a nice meal. Thankfully the food quality was a little above average, and he got to eat something that had taste once more. Because of this, he felt very rejuvenated and very good about his chances of success once more. With the food in his stomach, he could now work on his second priority. He wanted to fix the water system on the ship so that the water could get both hot and cold again, the lukewarm water both tasted and felt nasty whenever he used it, but lacked the materials to do so until now.
So he left the ship once again, this time finding a parts shop on the directory that apparently specialized in spaceship repair. Smiling to himself with the luck that came with this find, he quickly made his way to the parts shop and started looking for the parts he needed to repair the water system. It took him a while since the parts he needed for the particular ship he was on were rare, and therefore expensive, so he was down quite a bit of money. He wasn't particularly broken up about it though, because at least he had the parts he needed to make his trip tolerable once more. So with the parts cradled in his arms, he made his way back to the ship and got to work once he grabbed the tools he needed for the repair job.
Whistling a jaunty tune to himself as he finally got the repair job finished, or at least he thought he fixed it, he sealed everything up and went to the bathroom to test out the water. He turned the sink on and felt both cold and hot water pour out once more, and he was very glad about that. However he still needed to test out if the hot and cold water stuff were functional in the kitchen, or else he'd have to go right back to the repair job again. So he made his way to the kitchen, and tested the water there too, which revealed to him that the water repair job had been a complete success. This caused Captain Ginyu to sigh out of a sense of relief, because he had a fully functional water system again.
Now that he was done with fixing the water source, it was time to work on the bed situation. Ripping all the beds out of their placements first, Captain Ginyu then vaporized them with very weak blasts that only had enough power to destroy the beds and not damage anything else in the ship. Clapping his hands together in a manner to show that he was glad he did that, he exited the ship once more and went about looking for another store that would sell him beds for the ship. It didn't take him long to find the store for the beds either, and he made sure to carry them back one by one so he didn't risk damaging them before he could break them in again. He also made sure they were beds that were soft and comfortable to make sure he had the best sleep possible.
It was only when the bed situation was resolved, that he decided to hit the gym and work out the tension and stiffness of his muscles so that he could help himself relax a bit more. He paid a one day fee to use the gym, and then set to work on performing a number of stretching exercises and workout regimes that were meant to help him relieve stress and ease tension rather than try to build up his strength. It was a very productive workout routine, and by the end of it, he was feeling as good as new. Sure there was the soreness that came from prolonged workouts, especially if one took the kind of workout he got finished with, but overall it was still a very relieving exercise regime he managed to get going.
Now that he was nice and relaxed, he headed back to the ship in order to clean himself, refresh his body after the intensive workout he got going. When he got done with that, he decided that it was time if the ship got moving once again.
"AI, put in the coordinates to Planet Pythios and get us back on track to our mission! I've done everything I needed to do as far as taking a breather went, so now I'm done and ready to continue our mission!" Captain Ginyu said to the artificial crew member of the ship. The AI let out a verbal confirmation to show that it heard the orders given to it, and just like that the ship was traveling to it's intended destination once more.
Upon consulting the navi-computer and seeing that they were headed to the right place, the eccentric body snatcher smirked to himself in a pleased manner. Well he was feeling tired now, and he had no problem with trying to get some sleep now that his body was relaxed and clean, as well as because now he had a good bed to rest in. Seeing that the estimated travel time was still rather large, Captain Ginyu figured he should call it a day now and get some sleep. So he went to the sleeping quarters and started dressing up in his sleepwear. He then dipped into bed, and quickly dozed off to sleep.
