The ship Captain Ginyu was traveling on vibrated so violently that it knocked him to the ground while he was in the middle of his training. Racing off to the control room, he scanned the data of the ship and noticed that something had gone very wrong with the ship. He knew that he might not be able to keep flying like this, so he knew that he only had one options available to him. Sighing to himself in irritation, he spoke up.
"AI, land on the nearest ship where I can repair my ship in peace!" said the elite soldier.
"Approaching Planet Scalantro, Captain Ginyu" the AI pilot of the ship said in response to what the eccentric body snatcher said. This caused the man to stop his preliminary scans of the ships' data on it's current stats once he noticed the ship suffered some kind of mechanical error. A small frown appeared on his lips, as he was very annoyed he had to make a stop on some planet instead on continuing his journey. He could see by the data that the ship had suffered some rather severe damage, and knew that he couldn't have the ship keep going to Planet Pythios without stopping to make repairs. This entire trip so far has been one inconvenience right after another.
He supposed it wasn't too bad though, as he was approaching a planet that one of the PTOs deep space explorers had sent him about the planet just mentioned by the AI being of potential worth to the empire. Normally he'd ignore the reports and just continue on about his business, but the report mentioned the potential value of the planet and it's people being quite high. The deep space explorers tended to over exaggerate every now and then, so he would go check things out to make sure the reports were accurate. Accurate or not, he could tell by the reports that the species was intelligent enough and had the tools necessary to repair the ship if Captain Ginyu couldn't do it himself. So hey that was at least a silver lining to having to make yet another stop while he was in the middle of this very important rescue mission.
He honestly wasn't expecting them to be particularly accurate, but he might as well just go check and see if the value of the planet and it's people were as valuable as they claimed they were. Even if they weren't, any planet with any sort of value was perfect for marking it with a stamp of approval saying it was good enough to be conquered. It might be a low priority planet or a high priority planet, but it would be marked nonetheless. He didn't know what to expect when he got there, outside of some basic summaries supplied to all PTO forces about it being a mostly helium-based atmosphere with small bipedal insectoid creatures that consumed a variety of plants on their home world. None of them were reportedly violent, so it was likely that he wouldn't be facing any trouble when he got there.
First contact missions usually weren't that bad, but they could give wrong information at times about the alien species the PTO came into contact with. Captain Ginyu didn't see the harm and checking the place out to make sure anything found on the planet could be considered actually valuable. Even if things didn't turn out well for him when he got there, he was confident in his abilities to overcome any and all obstacles that made their presence known to him. He smirked at the absurdity of the thought that anything found this far out into space could actually give him any trouble. He did his best to not underestimate anyone or anything, but he just felt so much confidence in his newfound power.
"Beginning the landing process now. Prepare to disembark" the AI said to him, causing the eccentric body snatcher to race back into the control room of the ship. He quickly sat down in the captain's chair, and strapped himself in to make sure that the landing didn't send him crashing around the ship. The speeds as to which the ship moved when it entered and exited the gravity of a planet was always rough, at least he had his ki to mitigate the more painful parts of atmospheric and exit and reentry. He didn't move until the AI informed him that he could safely get out of the chair he strapped himself down into.
"AI, make sure to put up the ray shields on the ship so that anyone or anything can hit the ship or enter it without my authorization! I don't want to be stranded on this planet, the Emperor wouldn't let me live it down if I had to call in a rescue ship to come and pick me up!" Captain Ginyu commanded in his typical boisterous manner of speech. The AI let out a verbal acknowledgement of his orders, and that's when the eccentric body snatcher chose to exit the ship. The moment he was outside and stepped off of the loading ramp, the leader of the Ginyu Force turned his head over his shoulder to watch as the AI activated the ray shields. Smirking to himself, he nodded his head because he was very pleased it did as he asked without any complications this time around.
Now that he confirmed the ray shields were active, the elite soldier had no desire to stick around the ship. He wanted to get out and search across the world so he could maybe find some help about repairing his ship again. Having to make so many stops because of unforeseen complications on this trip was really starting to annoy him, he just hoped this kind of thing wouldn't be hampering his progress once he retrieved Lady Levi and brought her back to Frieza 1. He understood that sometimes circumstances were out of his hands at times, but a great deal of the time the reason for so many stops was because of how stupid the AI controlling the ship was. He might blow a gasket soon if he had to keep making emergency stops for any kind of reason.
It didn't take him long to find a small civilization of people nearby, so he flew into the relatively small town. As soon as he stepped into town though, he was suddenly swarmed by people that seemed to be admiring him for some reason. He could tell by the looks in their eyes that they knew who he was, but for some strange reason they weren't afraid of him. If anything, they were happy to see him, far happier than he expected anyone not a member of the PTO to be when they saw him. He was mentally ready for anything unsavory that might take place, but he was going to do his best to play cool for him.
After all, there was no need for him to attack when they made no hostile movements yet. Knowing to show restraint and play it cool for now, the eccentric body snatcher cleared his throat and spoke up.
"It seems you all are happy to see me. Is there any particular reason why you're swarming me and showering me with such happiness?" he asked the natives of this planet, inwardly prepared for a conflict to break out at any point in time. He didn't know what to expect out of the insectoid creatures, but he was prepared for any kind of reception they had in mind.
"We understand that today's your birthday, Captain Giny! We're all such fan of the Ginyu Sentai series, and we wish to throw you a birthday party since we all admire and respect you so much!" one of the creatures spoke, it's voice squeaky and high-pitched thanks to the helium-based atmosphere. What the creature just said caused the elite soldier to raise the ridge of his brow up in surprise, clearly not at all expecting to hear what he he was just told. He wasn't particularly surprised by their knowledge on his birthday, as such information about him were public record thanks to the show series they said they were fans of. Well he was glad to have such fans of the show all the way out here in the sticks, far away from PTO territory.
If they were willing to throw him a party because it was his birthday, he supposed that he could afford to stay here a little while instead of getting his ship and repaired and quickly getting back on course for the rescue mission he'd been assigned. It was quite rare to come across strangers with such generosity, especially considering that the eccentric body had honestly forgotten that today was actually his birthday. He was so busy with everything he's been handling since he made a full recovery from his last failed mission that he lost track of what the dates were. He was glad they liked the show enough to celebrate his birthday, but he lamented that none of his men were there to celebrate this event with him and these insectoid creatures. If they were so wiling and ready to throw him a party, he figured there was no need to turn down the very generous offer they were giving him.
Overcome with elation of their wishing to honor his birthday, he smiled and broke out into a passionate speech.
"I am truly blown away by the generosity and selfless you kind entities are showing me! Rest assured that the illustrious Captain Ginyu is honored by your support and desire to throw a party in his name! I humbly accept your offer, so let's all party!" he said as he performed one of his signature poses to really hype them up.
The sudden pose and impassioned speech all caused them to break out into a series of cheers, applauding both of his actions that straight up confirmed they were big fans of him as they initially claimed they were.
Feeling very proud that he still had fans that admired the Ginyu Sentai series, no matter the past failures of the Ginyu Force, let him know that the show was still inspiring the next generation to serve the empire. Even though half of the show was a propaganda piece, the things the Ginyu Force claimed they valued in the show were very much genuine beliefs. While not everyone inspired to join the PTO thanks to the show would make it very far in terms of rank, even the lowliest of cannon fodder goons had some inherent value. This was truly a great time for Captain Ginyu, always happy to show such gratitude for the sheer admiration they were showing him. It was truly one of the biggest highlights of the time he's spent out in space for the sake of a very important rescue mission he's been tasked with.
Once the cheering and admiring died down, the people gathered around Captain Ginyu all high-fived one another to show how pumped they were that the man chose to accept their invitation to throw a party in his honor. Despite the horrible deeds the Ginyu Force have done in service of the PTO and it's leaders, he was generally a decent person. He did the most horrible things because he was ordered to, malice and cruelty was truly a rare thing for the usually calm and level-headed body snatcher to express towards people. When they were all done with their celebration, they stepped away from the elite soldier and quickly got to work on setting up a party for the man. They hadn't set things up yet because they didn't know the eccentric body snatcher would even be here, but they were willing to set up the party now that he was here.
As they worked hard to get the party started, Captain Ginyu lounged and relaxed in a very comfy chair that one of the aliens brought to him and watched as they prepared for the party they wanted to throw him.
