Name: Free-Form Training Requirements: 3,000 WC Minimum | Must own a Gravitron Rewards: 1,000z | 200 XP | 500 SP | 2 TP Description: You’re in the middle of space with no habitable planet in sight, far away from home and your destination. Sounds like the perfect time to get some solid training done! However, with such a limited amount of space how will you train exactly? On top of that, your gravity chamber seems to be on the fritz, jumping between different levels when it decides that it wants to turn on. You can either dare to use the gravity machine to train, and potentially be crushed by the uncontrollable gravity from the machine, or use your imagination and discover a brand new way to train!

Captain Ginyu quietly performed some stretches in the Gravity Room he had installed onto this ship when he finally got his hands on it, very glad he went back to get a much better ship than the one he originally took out into space with him. He so very much wanted and needed to get as much training in as was possible for him, he still had so much progress to make. It had been a long time since he did some gravity training, but he decided to return to it since his comrades were currently sleeping in bed due to the tiring days of training they experienced. He knew Jeice and Burter were so far below him in terms of power, but that gap between him and then would start to close after a while. Right now though, he was going to widen the gap a bit as he felt he was so close to unlocking a new threshold of power.
He was performing stretches because he desperately wanted and needed to toughen himself up again in regards to the highest level of gravity he mastered up until now. Sure he could still move and fight under such intense levels of gravity with no problem, but he hadn't attempted gravity training in such a long time that he believed he's gotten a bit rusty. He didn't know whether or not his body would still be adapted to the high gravity he was about to train under, but he was starting to stagnate a bit in progress. He couldn't allow that, he still had so much power left to grab for himself. His comrades would probably be a little upset he got more training in while they were asleep, but Captain Ginyu was determined to keep pushing past his limits.
Once he finished doing enough stretches to loosen up his muscles to the level he needed them to be at in order to begin doing his gravity training, he stood up from his crouched position and walked over to the gravity controls. Scanning them until he found the right things he needed to hit, he entered the command to turn the gravity in the room up to ninety times what it tended to be on most planets. As soon as that was done, he confirmed the settings he put in place, and felt the air escape his lungs once the oppressive nature of the artificial gravity crashed down on him from all directions. The change was so instant that he face planted into the ground, the tiles of the floor cracking under the force of his collision into the ground. He let out a muffled groan of pain over what happened to him, the pain in his face setting in once his brain caught up with the sudden event.
"OK, perhaps turning the gravity up to the highest it can go instantly wasn't the smartest move" he said as he let out a groan of pain. He pushed his upper body off the ground with his hands, managing to fight his way back up to sit on his knees. Just fighting to stand up showed him proof that he's let his gravity training experience get very rusty, not one of his smartest moves in hindsight. Oh well, he could fix this by doing some remedial training and get his body used to the gravity level once more. He'll have to anyway since he knew there was a way to further increase the maximum gravity level this training room could offer him and his men, he was going to make sure the entire Ginyu Force conquered every level of gravity this machine could possibly offer them.
Captain Ginyu smirked the moment he managed to fight his way back onto his feet, feeling the intense gravity trying to crush him and send him back down to the floor. No matter how intense the gravity was though, he would conquer like he's conquered so many other things in the name of Emperor Frieza. He was a man of unwavering loyalty and determination, and he wouldn't let anything or anyone stop him from reaching his full potential or stop him from serving the man he's sworn eternal loyalty to. No matter how great or unbelievable something was, Emperor Frieza was far greater than anything else that might exist out there. Even if this wasn't the case, he would find a way to make sure the Emperor became the greatest being in existence.
"That would have to start with me becoming a worthy sparring partner to Emperor Frieza. If I can keep up with my training and keep growing stronger, I can help push milord to even greater levels of power. First thing's first, I need to master this level of gravity once more!" he said between grit teeth as he fought with everything he had to stay on his feet. The crushing gravity was so very intense, but he would overcome it all the same for the sake of the Emperor. He just had to keep pushing, and he would eventually become the soldier truly worthy of becoming the perfect sparring partner of the greatest ruler in the universe.
He crouched down in a position that indicated he was preparing to start running around the gravity room, wanting to get his body fully used to the intense gravity he once mastered long ago all for the sake of making himself stronger. He broke off into a slow and forceful, but steady jog so as to improve his tolerance under the high gravity. He was going to need to master this level of gravity because he was sure the Emperor had more than likely mastered it, and he didn't wish to hold his great ruler back. For the sake of both the Empire and the man who ruled it, as well as for the sake of his men, he had to fully master this level of gravity again. Come heaven or hell, he would overcome this particular challenge no matter what kind of inconveniences popped up.
The jogging he's been doing had been gradually getting easier and easier to do over time, which meant that he was starting to get used to the gravity again. He was glad he remembered to take the gravity room with him once again, he might wind up needing it somewhere down the road. Especially now that members of his crew were here with him, he wanted to make sure they reached the same level of gravity he was currently maxed out at. With them training in very similar ways to himself, he was confident that they would just skyrocket into new levels of power. So long as he had his men by his side, he would never lose again, unless he wound up facing the Emperor in combat.
He stopped the jogging only when it became natural for him to move around at his normal speeds, choosing to upgrade to full-blown sprinting. He wanted to make sure that he could move and fight at his usual levels while on the ground when under x90 gravity, even if it was unlikely he'd end up in a situation that required such training. He was something of a perfectionist when it came to the things he did, and he wouldn't dare half ass anything he was doing. Whether that involved training, missions, brown nosing, he gave everything he had to all the tasks he was doing to make sure he succeeded. With two of his men by his side, his chances would go way up.
He would have invited them in to do some training with him, but he figured it was for the best if he did this training all on his own. Due to how long it's been since he gravity trained, he desperately needed to brush up on his ability to withstand the intense gravity he was currently training under. This was the highest he's ever been, and his complacency made him rusty in regards to this type of training. That was very poor form for him, but he was making up for it now that he had a gravity room once more. He vowed to make sure he never slacked off like this again, he couldn't afford to do again.
Complacency had been what lead to the downfall of the Ginyu Force in the first place, and he's come to despise complacency. No matter what happened from here on out, the Ginyu Force would reach their full potential and come out reigning supreme as the best squad of fighters to ever exist. Captain Ginyu felt his vow invigorate him and refill the stamina he's spent on the training he's been doing all day, he felt like he could go much longer than he was capable of when he first started doing this particular session of gravity training. All he had to do was keep pushing himself, and he would attain the results he was looking for. This caused him to smirk with pride, because he knew that no one except the Emperor himself could stop him from achieving what he wanted.
Once he felt the running was super natural to him, he stopped his running and switched to performing various fighting poses and physical attacks to really iron out his flexibility and agility while he was on the ground. The more effortless his attacks on the ground became, the closer he got to achieving total mastery over the intense gravity while on the ground. He was elated at the progress he's been making in his gravity sessions recently, it was like he hadn't lost a step or gotten complacent at all. Captain Ginyu knew that wasn't true in the slightest, but he was glad his skills while under high gravity hadn't rusted as badly as he initially assumed. He still wasn't at the level of mastery of this gravity he was in the past though, so that had to be corrected.
"At the very least, I can take comfort in the fact that I have some of my men with me. While it is a shame Recoome and Guldo haven't shown up yet, I can always help them catch up with Jeice and Burter once they come back. Right now though, I want to fully master this level of gravity again and then move on to helping my men so they can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with me!" he said to himself in a very passionate manner as he kept punching, kicking, and twirling around while remaining grounded so he could make his every move as easy and effortless as possible. He was going to need all the training he could get out of this, he needed to truly master this level of gravity again. Upon doing so, he could then move on to training his men.
Of course, then fate seemed to chime in and have the Gravity Machine start acting up. He could feel the change of the gravity pressure all around him, and it was annoying him. He knew that something was wrong with the machine, but was befuddled as to why it was acting up now after it had been fine from the time he just turned it on. It was so frustrating to him, because it was messing with his ability to train and master the gravity now. This caused him to pinch the bridge of his nose with a sense of irritation. He could still keep training like this despite the gravity of the machine fluctuating wildly, but he'd suffer diminishing returns.
As the gravity changed once more, Captain Ginyu let out an exhausted grunt as he braced himself when the oppressive force of heavy gravity overtook him once again. The fluctuating gravity being as unpredictable as it was made him realize that he would have to keep on his toes if he ever wanted any chance of coming out of this training alive. If he didn't prepare his defenses in time when the gravity shifted, he could wind up getting crushed under the sudden pressure. This was going to hinder his gravity training, but at the same time it would help his ability to adapt to changing conditions. It wasn't the kind of training he had in mind, but it was still training in some form or fashion.
That was just great, his gravity machine was malfunctioning and seemed to be wholly unreliable. Heck it actually seemed dangerous to try and use it right now, so he decided to crawl his way to the gravity controls for the sake of turning the damn thing off. He eventually made it to the panel, and pulled himself to his feet with the help of the control panel and put in the commands to finally shut it off entirely. Once the oppressive crushing force of the gravity around him went away, the eccentric body snatcher let out a sigh of relief and collapsed in the technician seat. Man, the constantly pressure of the artificial gravity really took a lot more of him than he initially thought it would.
He didn't know what was going on with the gravity machine aside from it malfunctioning in some way he couldn't identify. He wasn't a technician after all, so he had no idea how he was going to approach this little problem of his. Captain Ginyu guessed the only thing he could do at this moment was find some other way to train, while he sought out some repairs for the ship. There were a couple places he could think of train in, all involving planets that the Planetary Trade Organization has conquered. While they couldn't really give him any strenuous levels of gravity, they happened to be very harsh worlds that could give him some training in extreme climates.
Figuring that was his best course of action, the elite soldier nodded his head in a satisfied manner at coming up with a plan for some emergency training. There weren't any PTO repair yards this deep in space, since this portion of the empire's space had a bunch of low value worlds that Emperor Frieza couldn't care less about, and he would never trust independent technicians with repairing his ship. The PTO was well-known, but also rather disliked by those who have yet to be fully subdued, and the Galactic Patrol DID happen to patrol this section of the galaxy. Although he was firmly confident in his ability to come out on top against nearly any foe at this point in his trip, he'd rather avoid as much hostilities as he could before his quest of power was finished. He still had some techniques he wanted to learn before he got into another fight.
As much as he wanted to get some more training done though, he was very bruised and exhausted from the constantly shifting gravity levels of the artificial training room he has installed on the ship. He sadly wouldn't be able to get much training done in his current condition, so he would have to put the training on hold for the moment and rest up for a little while. It disappointed him that his training was cut short so much, but there was nothing he could do about it for the moment. He was angry with himself for not handling the shifting gravity levels better than he did, but the constant adjustments to the gravity kept throwing off his balance and wound up making him hurt himself each time that happened. The illustrious Captain Ginyu should have been able to handle it better than he did, but alas that wasn't the case for today.
Shrugging off his bad thoughts as much as he could for now, the eccentric body snatcher made his way over to the navigation computer, and punched in coordinates which would redirect the ship to a planet that constantly rained acid. He had special shields installed to prevent things like harsh planetary conditions from effecting the ship, but it would likely effect him. Perhaps he could build up his endurance and pain tolerance by training under the acidic rain drops. Some would call Captain Ginyu crazy for considering such a thing, but those who did would never reach the new heights of power the illustrious leader of the Ginyu Force has reached. He may be crazy, crazy enough to take advantage of anything that seemed useless at first and turn said useless things into something that benefited himself.
Once the ship redirected it's course to take him to the acid raid planet, which was named Frieza #263, he stepped away from the navicomputer and started strolling through the ship's corridors into the medical bay. The feeling of the artificial gravity constantly shifting around him and throwing off his balance lead to him getting tired rather quickly and accumulating a number of injuries, so he decided to take a dip into one of the medical pods on board. He liked this ship much better than the attack pods him and his crew used to fly around in. Sure the ship wasn't as fast as the pods, but it made up for the slower speed by providing them with a number of other advantages. Upon reaching the medical room, Captain Ginyu stripped himself of his clothes, slipped into a medical gown, and typed in commands on one of the control panels controlling the pods so he could get the pod he picked out to start working.
With the pod now ready for him to enter, the eccentric body snatcher smirked to himself for a moment.
"This isn't how I expected my mission to rescue Lady Levi to go so far, but I'm sure I would have received an update regarding her status if she died. I am getting closer to accomplishing my mission to rescue her though, so I'll stop on one of the low-value worlds to restock supplies and maybe get some repairs done. I hate all of these delays, but I've more than made up for the lost time with the high quality ship engines and the high quality engine fuel. Hang on Lady Levi, I'll be coming to rescue you soon!" he said to himself in a rather boisterous manner as he hooked himself into the medical pod, and fell into a drug-induced sleep.
