Personality: Hale is defined by his need to keep his younger brother, Orctic, safe from harm. He's willing to sacrifice a great deal for his remaining family. When he's not protecting his younger brother, Hale is studiously training to get stronger. Not for strength itself, but so he may one day kill Frieza. Without this motivation, he most likely wouldn't have even bothered to train.
With other people, Hale is cordial and polite, but somewhat detached. His main goal while interacting with others is seeing it they are a threat, evaluating how he can use them to his benefit, and finally if they could be an ally. That's not to say he only sees them as assets to be used, just that he has a specific goal.
History: Hale, and his younger brother Orctic, are orphans, thanks to Emperor Frieza. Their parents, Wintery and Rime, were both executed, his mother for bringing bad news to the emperor, and their father for plotting against him. Since then, Hale has had to grow in order to take care of Orctic.
Having just reached adulthood, Hale intends to join the Planet Trade Organization for one goal; to get close to Frieza, and kill him. Against his wishes, Orctic has joined as well, intent on proving his worth to his older brother.

Thud...
Hale lied there, on the ground, nose bleeding profusely. Slowly, he pulled himself back together, sitting up. "Good," He said. "you've grown."
Opposite to him was a younger, blue changeling with short horns. "Are you okay?" He asked, panic in his voice.
Hale waved off Orctic's concerns as he floated back into a standing position. "Not really. My nose is bleeding." He touches the area and looked at his hand, now stained purple. "But that's good, Orctic. It means our training is paying off."
"But-"
"No buts. Now, defend yourself!" He rushed forwards, an overhand chop striking Orctic's hastily raised arm, but the changeling couldn't block the vicious knee to his gut. That opened him up to a barrage of several jabs, hooks, and crosses and uppercuts, finishing with a roundhouse kick to his head. Hale had to resist the urge to sigh as Orctic struggled to stand.
The changeling was his brother, younger by some years, and without Hale, he'd most likely be dead. When Orctic was but a baby, Hale being on the cusp of becoming a teenager, their parents were killed. Wintery, their mother, was executed for bringing less then pleasant news to Lord Frieza. Half a year later, their father Rime was also killed for plotting against Lord Frieza. Since then, Hale has had to work his tail off to get enough food for the both of them and ward off dangers.
They were in a run-down home with grey walls, hard floors and sparse furnishing. What furniture they did have was pushed against the walls. Every other day was training day, where Hale would attempt to instill fighting ability and confidence in his younger brother, Orctic. The boy
"I think that's enough for today, don't you think?" Orctic nodded, his shoulders relaxing as he stood. Truthfully, Hale had wanted to go another hour, but Orctic was... fragile. Weak. He wasn't suited to fighting at all, but... a the same time, he had a passion and will to prove himself. "Now, I'm going to go out for a bit. You remember our rules?" He asked with a scaly brow raised.
"Keep the doors locked, stay out of sight, and run away if someone is in the house."
"Good." He smiled, and put a hand on his brothers shoulder. "I'll only be gone for an hour, but you call me if anyone shows up, okay?" Orctic nodded and he looked into his eyes for a little longer before nodding back. "Okay. I love you."
"Love you too, bro." Orctic chirped.
He smiled, then affixed the scouter to his eye and left the house. Usually, he would tell Orctic where he was going, but today...
He was going to the Planet Trade Organization office to join them.
The idea... of joining Lord Frieza's organization made him feel sick to his stomach. His parents were killed by that monster, and Orctic and him would be too if he hadn't escaped and changed his name.
He could feel the eyes of the guards on his back as he walked into the recruitment center. A bored looking changeling handed him forums wordlessly before he had gotten a chance to speak. He nodded to her and sat down at the chairs, filing information into the tablet.
In the corner of his eye he could see someone else approach the desk too, but he paid no mind. After ten or so minutes, he finished and began to approach the desk when his blood ran cold.
There, sitting in the corner of the center, trying to hide behind a short wall... was Orctic.
With a recruitment tablet in hand.
It took Hale a full five seconds to 'reboot', where he then, glacially, approached his younger brother, leaned over his shoulder and hissed "What do you think you're doing."
Orctic froze, and slowly turned his head to look at Hale, tears beginning to bud in his eyes. "...I want to help."
"Unacceptable-"
"Sir!"
He turned to the recruitment officer, who had stood up. "No bothering the other recruits."
"He's my brother, I can bother-"
"Doesn't matter. I decide who gets in, not you. You don't want him to join? Tough shit."
"..." Cold fury gripped his heart, and he turned to Orctic, his eyes filled with unshed tears and extreme determination. There... would be no dissuading him.
"...you forgot the date." He said, and turned on his heel, dropping the tablet off at the officer, who had gone back to resting her chin on her hand.
He stayed there for another eight minutes, watching Orctic like a hawk as his little brother signed his soul away. When he dropped the tablet off at the desk, he took his hand and they walked home. He said nothing, and tried to keep his expression neutral.
When they arrived home, he gestured for Orctic to sit on their lone couch. "...why." He asked. It was taking a lot of effort to not explode on him.
"I- I want to help!"
"And you'd be helping with, what?"
His brother glared at him. "Don't treat me like some kid! I- I know, who killed them..."
Hale's eyes widened and he felt his heart almost stop. He'd been so careful to not let Orctic know... he was going to tell him, one day, but... "I- I don't kn-"
"Stop it! I heard you talk in your sleep! You- you said you were going to kill him..."
"..." He closed his eyes and took a shuddering breath. "I was going to tell you, one day... when you were old enough to not do anything rash."
"But I can help! It- it's already done, anyway. There's no going back."
He was silent for a long moment. "...you will do exactly, as I say, when I say it, and you will stick with me, at all times. And our training sessions are going to go longer."
Orctic didn't smile or gloat. He nodded, serious and determined.
Watch out, Frieza... We're coming for you.
