Captain Ginyu stared down at the little seed that he clutched in his hands, smirking with a sense of greed and pride that he now had it in his possession. With this tiny seed in his hands, he was one step closer to obtaining greater power than he already had. The more power and techniques he could obtain, the better off he and the PTO would be in the long run. The eccentric body snatcher was going to use this little seed to as close to it's maximum potential as he possibly could, and gain even more power for himself than he already had. The bitter sting of defeat hurting his pride fueled his greed for more power and abilities, and he wouldn't be denied his prize.
Back on the ship and flying through space, the elite soldier was sitting in his command chair with his arms crossed, trying to think about which planet the empire could do without. Or rather, he was trying to think about what planets he knew of that could be brutally exploited with the Tree of Might Seed and be drained of it's life energy to give him a succulent power boost. Captain Ginyu was no longer thinking rationally, his pride at losing AGAIN now drove his passion to getting stronger to unreasonable levels. Until he beat the Saiyan wench who bested and killed him on New Namek in however many rematches he needed to beat her, he wouldn't be able to calm down. This was something he was desperate enough to try and do, simply because his ego was getting out of control.
The members of the crew quietly searched through the data archives about any and all low value planets the PTO either controlled or knew about to figure out which planet he should sacrifice on his quest for more power. With the mysterious disappearance of Yardrat he's heard about from the communication logs that came in while Captain Ginyu was skulking around in the Otherworld, he knew that the kid gloves had to come off. The eccentric body snatcher needed to bunker down, put his knuckles to the floor, and quickly obtain as much power and techniques as he can to better protect the empire. He was sick and tired of all his past failures, and was going to make sure he never failed again! Nothing and no one would stop him this time, he was going to become the second best there was, second only to the glorious Emperor Frieza himself!
Captain Ginyu quietly stewed in his own thoughts for a moment as he tried to figure out which planet he should sacrifice to help him get closer to the greater sources of power he knew were still locked away deep inside of him. Having grown as used to this body as if it was his original body, he knew there was still some power locked away in this vessel he could unleash at a later point to help him truly ascend far beyond anything he previously thought himself capable of. As harsh and monstrous as his next course of action was going to be, he dismissed his own sense of disgust as something to not be concerned about. He didn't have enough time to gain power or techniques just through hard training, he had to zealously pursue all avenues of quick power boosts he became aware to become a truly feared fighter. No more losing or failure on his part, the elite soldier was going to make sure all of his failures became things of the past.
As he continued brainstorm and brood over his thoughts, a technician nervously cleared their throat to get the soldier's attention. Snapping out of his thoughts when he heard someone clear their throat, the body snatcher turned to glance at the Zaltian engineer and indicated to the alien to speak with a nod of his head.
"Pardon me for interrupting your brainstorming, Captain Ginyu, but I have some information that I think you'll be pleased with, sir! After scouring through the data archives, I was able to find one particular planet that seemed to have such little information on it. The coordinates are known, but the other details about the planet are totally unknown to the empire as a whole, sir!" the alien said in a rather nervous, but firm manner.
Captain Ginyu was surprised that one of the technicians would be speaking to him about finding a potential planet he could sacrifice to obtain more power. Granted the man did state there was too little information about the planet in question for them to know for sure how suitable it would or wouldn't be for the body snatcher's plans. Still, the fact he was getting ANY information about a planet to potentially sacrifice so soon just meant he had an efficient team of crew members on his ship. If the man's potential lead was something he could actually use, than the elite soldier would TRULY be one step closer to greater power. Grinning to himself with a feeling of smug satisfaction, he proceeded to speak up.
"Well bring up all the information you have on the main monitor! I want to see for myself whether or not this planet is suited enough to what I desire!" he said to the alien technician in a demanding and boisterous tone of voice. The engineer visibly shook with surprise and fear at the sudden change in the body snatcher's demeanor, but nervously did as was requested of him. He started typing in some commands to bring up a VERY incomplete set of data on the planet the technician found, and Captain Ginyu discovered the alien was indeed correct about the lack of information. No name or anything else, just a list of coordinates for scouts to follow so they could see if the planet was of any worth to the PTO.
It was odd as to how far away from Frieza I this planet is. It stuck out as the planet furthest away from the empire they had on record, which simultaneously had the least amount of information about it when compared to other known planets. Even Earth, which was the second furthest away from the Empire's capital world, had more information available to him and his crew than this still unnamed planet. This was something of a huge anomaly that stuck out to him, and his curiosity was rather piqued enough to make him consider heading off to this unknown world. The coordinates, when compared to their current location as being near New Namek, wouldn't take them super far off-course to their final destination of Frieza I, but it would still take them on quite a journey.
Gazing upon the image of the planet who's details were vague and unknown, the leader of the Ginyu Force noticed the coordinates would take them outside of PTO territory. He would need to be very careful with how he went about this, as destroying a valuable planet could lead to some intense repercussions at the hands of the Emperor. Even someone as highly ranked and accomplished as Captain Ginyu wouldn't be safe from the Emperor wrath if a high value planet was destroyed. This planet still had such little information about it, that Emperor Frieza likely wouldn't care if someone destroyed it. Heck they didn't even know the name of the planet, which was even better for him.
Turning his gaze to the nervous engineer, Captain Ginyu clutched his chin in his right hand and spoke up.
"Judging by these coordinates and the lack of information, I presume thew value of this planet is in such question that nobody besides us would know about how much it's worth aside from us in the event of it's destruction. That would be quite the good news for us, it means nobody would know what we're missing out on should we discover the planet was actually of any great value. This makes the planet you've mentioned a target of interest, but I guess we won't know for sure unless we actually get there. Due to how vital this quest of ours is, I guess it'll have to do" he said in a thoughtful manner.
Truthfully he didn't feel all that sure about choosing this specific planet as the target for destruction. Sure he'd be making himself stronger from destroying it, but at the same time he didn't want to destroy what could wind up being a high value target. He was feeling a bit conflicted about this, but his greedy desire for more power was encouraging him to push on no matter who or what might wind up happening. After getting the taste of true power and skill, Captain Ginyu was filled with an obsessive drive to improve himself in all areas of combat. The eccentric body snatcher would need to make sure all of his men stayed quiet should anyone question him or his troops about what happened to the mysterious planet.
Granted, it would be an insane leap of logic for anyone to link the mysterious disappearance of this planet with the adventures of Captain Ginyu. He still felt some sense of paranoia after his past failures though, and wanted to make sure his path to greater power remained as unheeded as possible. The icy grip of fear of what the Emperor might do should he somehow find out of the alien soldier's past actions while Frieza was away settled within him, but he was confident the man would never find out unless the Captain told the man himself. The eccentric body snatcher didn't want to face the wrath of the Emperor's displeasure, no matter how much stronger he became. Still, he wouldn't be denied his prize of more power.
His eyes steeling over as his determination grew, he cracked his knuckles for a moment and then sat back in his seat.
"So I guess we'll find out how valuable this planet is to the cause firsthand. The rest of the known planets are ones our glorious empire already know about, and their destruction would catch a lot of unwanted attention. As much as I would love to target dumps like Imecka or New Namek, I think going after a target so far away like the one I've selected is the most strategic option. So full speed ahead, engineers, I want to be there yesterday!" he said in a more boisterous manner to the assembled crew.
All of the engineers shouted verbal confirmations of the orders they just received, and worked on readjusting the programmed coordinates of their ship to the mysterious planet their empire vaguely knew about. Glad that the men were being so obedient, Captain Ginyu leaned back in his command chair and let out a sigh of exhilaration since he was starting to feel better. There were still some uncertainties about this little impromptu mission of his, but he was looking on the bright side and hoping that things would just turn out well. Things had already gotten pretty bad, especially now that he knew there was still some unknown threat he barely knew the existence of that would one day show itself and cause trouble. He intended to be as powerful as he could get when it was time to confront this threat.
Once the engineers successfully readjusted the ship's flight trajectory, the ship suddenly changed course and started flying it's crew towards the destination towards the planet that they would all quickly come to learn was named M2. Captain Ginyu had no idea what to expect from the planet they were now heading to, but he was mentally prepared for anything and everything at this point. After dying twice, learning so many new techniques, and having almost quintupled the power he had before that fateful mission to Namek where everything went wrong, the eccentric body snatcher wouldn't allow the inhabitants of this planet, or anything else, stop him from getting the power boost he desperately craved for!
