PATCH 5.5 NOTES!
Rather than list things in a random format, I'm going to address them by their Section. Seems to make more sense.
Also most of these are things you've all seen up until this point but it needs to be catalogued.
-Alignment: A minor change to Pure of Heart and Evil Incarnate. Before it was somewhat nebulous how you achieved these, but now it has been made more clear. In addition to having 500+ or 500- (depending on what you're going for) you will also need two 'Qualifiers.' These are either major acts in-story that alter the very scope of the site's events based on your actions, or there are also Missions and other locations which will offer a Qualifier as part of its reward. You need TWO in order to achieve Pure of Heart of Evil Incarnate- one isn't enough to show your dedication!
Training and Roleplay:
-Mission Location: Rather than a singular thread, Missions are now on each specific planet (Thanks Serranna).
-Epic Missions: Their wordcount (and thusly their rewards) have been cut in half. 20,000 words seemed an exceedingly ridiculous (and frankly difficult to keep a cohesive story structure that long with a single story prompt) and thus they have been reduced to 10,000 as a requirement.
-Master Training: Discussed but never written down- The cooldown between Masters as well as the inability to come back and train with a master you did not complete have been removed. You may freely train with masters as you see fit.
-Defenses changed. Again. Yes, I know. I'm sorry. These should be mostly final at this point. Numbers and tweaks will happen (and in fact have happened between the time of them going live and this changelog getting posted.
-More specifically, Negate and Overwhelm have been replaced with a 'Clash' mechanic. Until we get around to fixing all of the mentioning of Negate/Overwhelm, just treat it as 'Clash' until it has been fixed. Clash works in a far simpler way. If your damage is higher than an opponent's damage when you Clash, any damage left over will target the opponent. As a flipside, you can only Clash with an equal or higher tier tech, and you may only Clash once per round.
-Status effects are no longer %-based. If you don't remove one with a Defense, it is applied. That simple.
-Winded has been added. When using attacks that use Agility as its attacking stat, you will generate stacks of Winded. These will lower your damage by 10% per stack (max of 5) for attacks that use Agility as an attacking stat.
-Death and Dying: I don't think it's ever been notated but when you die, you will return to life automatically upon completion of a Mastery Thread with an Otherworld Master. Additionally, you may do a roleplay of 2000 words to 'find a way to return to life.' If this latter option is chosen, it will increase in WC by 2000, to a maximum of 10,000 words. This counts as a PRP.
-Covered above. They're listed on each separate planet now.
Dragon Balls and Unique Items:
-Black Star Dragonballs are live, buckos. Get yourself a radar and get cracking.
-Master Techs underwent an ENORMOUS overhaul. If you haven't yet gone through it, you can go here to check it out.
-Due to the above changes, some techniques which were Master Techniques aren't anymore, and vice versa.
-Specializations are now broken down into 4 'Trees.' At each level you've achieved, you can take two levels in the trees. All effects stack additively, but you can check each specific spec for more details.
-Wrapped Burn and Relentless D both adjusted with the new Status Effect changes
-Alignment-locked Specializations do not follow this, and you gain all benefits listed.
-No Changes! Yet!
-Old News but the 30+ days of travel are gone. They've been replaced by a 'Near' 'Medium' and 'Far' distance style which can take up to a max of 10 days for travel.
God Tier and Reincarnation:
-Reincarnation values are listed! Ready for business!
Races and Traits:
-Old News but Aliens are changed.
