The previous Gine has not posted in the activity check, which I believe makes them open. The former user of them does have a 1 week grace period in which they can reapp them though. As such Gine will be availble for other players on 7/15.
I asked a question along these lines in the discord but I didn't really understand the answer I was given. Probably my own fault lol. The new travel rules state the following :
If you post a Sunday update from Hera to Yardrat, it will take 7 days before you arrive (presuming you're in a Light-Class ship), so you will have 7 days of Space RP available, and then on Sunday you would be able to start RPing upon Hera.
The old rules already prevented double stacking the timers because Arrival is the day after the timer ends, but the new rules seem to require a day of stayover prior to beginning the new journey.
So I'm struggling to understand whether this is an intentional 'lay over day' [and the counter stacking explanation isn't exactly relevant] or there was an error in the wording of the new update.
Clarity would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, and sorry for not comprehending the answer I was given in discord.
I mean, isn't the answer to this question (or clarification) a bit superfluous? Put simply, it's just how we said it when the patch went live: systems are always subject to changes/tweaks as we iron out bugs. The new changes are because we've seen the patch changes in action and feel that they already need some adjustment, as there are members using the system in a manner that we didn't intend for it to be used or anticipate it would be used.
From the quotes you've posted above though, I don't agree that both result in the same prevention. The old ones simply state you can start RP'ing on said planet the on the following Sunday after you begin your travels, if it's a 7 day journey (such as it is in the example). It doesn't specify anything about leaving the planet. We've already seen people planet hopping, even with this new system (i.e.: arriving on a planet, buying something instantly, and then going somewhere else).
An example of this can be taken from your own update:
Location/Travelling: M2 / From Space 0 days (Update posted on Thursday 24th Oct) Location/Travelling: Space/to M2 [Wednesday Departure (but the 24th is a Thursday?)] Travel Method: Expedient Domain [Accompanied Meteora, Arrived Instantly] Location/Travelling: M2/Midgard [Wednesday Departure (but the 24th is a Thursday?)] Travel Method: Varia (Light Ship Mode) [Four Days, Arrived Sunday (Nope, you should arrive Monday 28th Oct)] Location/Travelling: Midgard/Konats [Sunday Departure (See? Leaving the same day, after a purchase)] Travel Method: Varia (Light Ship Mode) [Five Days, Will Arrive Friday (You should be arriving on Saturday 2nd Nov)]
Now, this isn't even taking into account the fact that you haven't followed proper searching mechanics for any of the planets that you've not travelled too (as it states in the searching system). So as you can see, the amendment to the system was quite necessary and makes a lot of sense, especially when the old system was used thusly.

It seems like a lot of your points hinge on the date, even though I was always told updates were on Pacific Time [which is my timezone] and both threads were on the 23rd Pacific Time.
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday is four days, with the arrival not part of the counter? Or does the day of departure not count towards the days of the journey..... that would definitely be a mistake on my part lol.
I may have misinterpreted things, now that I'm looking from a different perspective and not counting the departure day, everything suddenly makes sense. Thank you for taking the time to explain this to me.
And the search thing. I did search for Midgard [m2 was Expedient Delivery back when such didn't require a search] but I misread the 5 days as a deadline rather than a wait period. Huge error on my part there.
Sorry to bother but i had a question. Its been a while since i was here due to life and such thus i was wondering if i could make some changes with 31913 since i had to do anything with them. Specifically their race and thus racials. I would be keeping the personal character traits though i may need to have them reviewed for balancing reasons.
