Personality: Uta is a benevolent god. Seeking to watch those who reside upon, and within his mountain. A minor deity, who is much like the stones and rivers of his mountaintop. Steadfast in his resolve. Kind to those that would show him respect. Crushing to those who might seek to topple him. He is meticulous as well, everything on his mountain has it's place, and dislikes when the balance of nature around him is disrupted. He appears as a powerful but wise wolf. Appearing mature, though young where most gods are concerned.
History: In years past Uta appeared on the mountain. At a time when the mountain was a harsh and desolate place, yet people made there way to it anyway, seeking to make a home. Eventually enough people gathered, and their prayers culminated into a song dedicated to a deity that would guard over them. As a result Uta came to be, and from then on his energies graced the mountain where he resides. It was said in the past that his howl could be heard. He was the howling wind echoing through the cave mouths. He was the rumble of stones crumbling down the mountain side. He was the rains to soften the soil where it could be found, and the rivers that would stream down from the melting snows when it fell. He was the mountain, and all that was the mountain was him.
Sample RP: It had been a long time since the mountain god had risen. Yet he felt a force disturb the balance of nature on his mountain. He could not yet understand the cause of this, though he intended to find out.
From the stones he came, eyes shining like bright emeralds as he gazed around, slow and measured. It was dark, the night sky shone with twinkling stars that reflected in the eyes of the god taken form once more.
He could hear them now, the whispers of prayers upon his mountain, the voices of scared small children, who wanted protection. Praying to anything that would listen, begging to be saved.
He could taste the blood from the soil where at least one had died. He could feel the destruction around him, trees that were toppled by a great force. Uprooted. Rivers that ceased to flow, blocked by fallen stones. What monster had attacked his mountain? He did not know, but he would make them pay for disturbing him, and those that sought refuge on his mountain.
Stepping towards the home ahead of him, he could see a small cozy shack. Though in the door stood a great beast. He could smell it from where he stood, the scent of a demon on the air. He bared his teeth, a low rumbling growl echoed from his chest and throat, calling the attention of the demonic insect that he would face. It was tall, and broad, more so than even Uta.
Uta himself being a large wolf with dark grey fur, and hints of dragon like qualities such as his claws, and a majestic mane that flowed behind him in the wind. Muscle showed through his upper body, thick and hard as the stones that birthed him. Bunched and rippling with new power. And standing at eight feet tall. His only clothes being pants, and a martial wrapping around his waist.
"You who would defile this mountain and my people will pay." He called in a low deep voice, matching the mountain he was connected to in the way it rumbled and rolled, like a boulder given voice, or the echo of a deep and unknown tunnel.
The demon chittered before rasing to blade-like arms, scythed it intended to cut the wolf down with. Red chitinous armor covered it's the body. Long drooling mandibles sprouted from its face. It stood blood mixed with the drool that fell from its face. He could see the shape of a man on the ground and in the shack a woman, and two children. Even now he could hear the children's prayers, and he intended to give them their hope.
The insectoid demon charged at Uta. Striking with intense speed. Uta took the blows, though they rang hollow of his powerful stone-like body. He slid a foot back, fist posed before he made his strike. Slamming with massive force into the insect's body, shattering its body's natural armor with a single powerful blow charged with divine energy. He heard it's screech before it exploded into scraps of insect armor, and meat.
Uta stood once more, before moving to approach the shack. He was too big to enter the small building, but he moved to check the dead man, crouching down. Then picking him up.
The woman inside looked to Uta with a stunned expression. The children matched the expression while Uta carried the man away. Taking him nearby, but to a clear spot, as the people living in the shack appeared to be growing a garden.
Setting the body aside he used his hands to dig a fresh hole, before placing the man's body into it. Placing the soil over it, and placing a small blessing upon the grave. "I can't bring you back from the dead. But if you wish, you may remain upon my mountain for a time. Death will claim us all, but you do not need to leave this earth just yet." He said as he stood, and watched as the spirit of the man rose from the ground.
The spirit of the man was shocked, looking to himself, noting how he floated in the air. "I'm dead?" He questioned the wolf, who simply nodded in reply.
The man slumped. "Then... What about my family?" He asked.
"They live. And for now, I've allowed your spirit to remain. You may watch over them, speak with them, and continue to exist in the world... In a manner of speaking at least. You are not physical, so your actions are limited. You may, however, pass on whenever you desire. Though I think that you may wish to remain for a time at least long enough to see your children grow. It might be a comfort to know that even dead their father's soul watched over them from nearby." Uta explained simply, before moving to leave the man to his business.
The family would have a lot to discuss. But Uta had done what he meant to do. Most of the family was safe, and to an extent, the father was still around, even if only temporarily. His mountain, however, was now in disrepair, and Uta intended to fix his mountain back up. Allow the rivers to flow, pick up the trees that could be saved, and grow new tree's where old ones could not. He had only just woken and even so there was suddenly much for him to do.
And what was more, he could feel something on the wind. A far greater threat would be coming soon. Perhaps one that might threaten the entire world, if it did not yet already. If this was the case then Uta needed to prepare. Not many lived on his mountain now, but a few did, and it seemed some still recalled him as their guardian. Perhaps it was a small thing to guard a mountain. However, he was a simple god. And mighty as he was he knew that there were greater forces in the universe than he could hope to face. And what he hoped he could do, was protect his mountain.
