TRAVEL
For the longest time, travel has been the same, no matter where you go. From one planet to one right next door, to one across the entirety of the universe, it took the same amount of time. But no longer!
Space travel has always been something we wanted to make a bit more dynamic and unique, and due to that, we've constructed the below, which will of course be updated as new planets are found and discovered, to illustrate where the various planets are in our universe. And of course, as you may be able to tell, there are planets that are quite far from one another, and then ones that are right next door. This, of course, has evolved into there now being 'travel time' from one planet to another. What sort of travel time, you ask? Well, let's take a look.
There are two main charts here to keep in mind. The first is the speed at which the ships travel from planet to planet, as follows:
Ship Type | Travel Time | Capacity | Add-on Slots |
Pod | All Treated as Near | 1 | 0 |
Light | Medium Treated as Near Far Treated as Medium | 2 | 1 |
Medium | Far Treated as Medium | 4 | 3 |
Heavy | No Change | 6 | 5 |
"Special" | Varying | Varying | Varying |
With 'Near' Travel being 3 Days, 'Medium' Travel being 7 Days, and 'Far' Travel being 10 Days.
The second is the actual travel time between planets:
Earth | Namek | Sadala | Konats | Imecka | Yardrat | Frieza I | Hera | Kanassa | Arlia | M2 | Midgard | Plant | |
Earth | ------- | Near | Medium | Medium | Near | Medium | Medium | Medium | Medium | Medium | Medium | Medium | Far |
Namek | Near | ------- | Medium | Near | Medium | Near | Far | Medium | Medium | Far | Medium | Medium | Far |
Sadala | Medium | Medium | ------- | Medium | Near | Medium | Near | Near | Near | Near | Far | Far | Far |
Konats | Medium | Near | Medium | ------- | Medium | Near | Far | Medium | Medium | Far | Medium | Near | Medium |
Imecka | Near | Medium | Near | Medium | ------- | Medium | Medium | Medium | Near | Near | Far | Far | Medium |
Yardrat | Medium | Near | Medium | Near | Medium | ------- | Medium | Near | Medium | Far | Medium | Medium | Near |
Frieza I | Medium | Far | Near | Far | Medium | Medium | ------- | Near | Near | Near | Far | Far | Near |
Hera | Medium | Medium | Near | Medium | Medium | Near | Near | ------- | Near | Medium | Far | Far | Medium |
Kanassa | Medium | Medium | Near | Medium | Near | Medium | Near | Near | ------- | Near | Far | Far | Medium |
Arlia | Medium | Far | Near | Far | Near | Far | Near | Medium | Near | ------- | Far | Far | Near |
M2 | Medium | Medium | Far | Medium | Far | Medium | Far | Far | Far | Far | ------- | Near | Far |
Midgard | Medium | Medium | Far | Near | Far | Medium | Far | Far | Far | Far | Near | ------- | Far |
Plant | Far | Far | Far | Medium | Medium | Near | Near | Medium | Medium | Near | Far | Far | ------- |
Please note that the Galactic Prison is always considered to be Far from any location
The both of these combine into your total travel times. If you have a standard light ship, you can use the times listed here in the chart. A pod will get you somewhere quickery, but if you have a Medium or a Heavy-class ship, you will be taking a good bit longer to travel from planet to planet. The universe isn't all put together with everything equidistant from one another, after all!
Your travel will continue to be placed upon your update, but travel will be assumed to take place on Sunday, the cutoff for Updates. If you post a Wednesday update from Hera to Yardrat, it will take 3 days from that Sunday before you arrive, no matter what ship you have, so you will have 3 days of Space RP available, and then on Wednesday you would be able to start RPing upon Hera. If you want to travel multiple times in a single update, you may, but you must spend at least a single day on each planet (meaning that you cannot arrive on a Wednesday and then leave that same day).
Keep in mind that if you want to go from Arlia to Midgard in a Heavy-Class ship...you'd better pack a lunch!
Additionally, if you are in 'Space' without an origin location (which should be an exceptionally rare occurrence), you're presumed to be 5 Standard days of travel from any planet.
(Also until the image is updated, treat Planet Vegeta as Planet Sadala, thank you)
