Captain Ginyu groaned to himself as he sat up from his position on the floor of his ship's sleeping quarters. He opened his eyes briefly, only to close them again and clutch at his head because of how much pain he feels in it. He opened his eyes, and squinted them to help clear away the blurriness of his vision as he took a look at his surroundings and figured out what happened. He could see a number of unconscious people in the sleeping quarters of ship with him, none of whom were crew members of his ship. He briefly wondered how these people got on his ship, when he suddenly remembered what happened.
'Oh that's right, these creatures wanted to celebrate my birthday when I crossed paths with them' the eccentric body snatcher thought to himself. It was truly an experience he couldn't believe he forgot, no matter how briefly, because the celebration was truly a grandiose affair that he rarely got to experience himself. It was a rare thing for him to party, since he was usually out serving the empire in the form of doing missions he and his men were tasked with. Being able to attend some wonderful festivities or celebrations was something he was always glad to do when the option became available to him. He wasn't saying that to sound bitter about his lack of attendance for grand parties though, as he knew his service to the PTO trumped everything else.
He was glad he accepted the party when they offered it to him, because man could these creatures party like nobody's business. Perhaps when he got back to Frieza 1, he could let the Emperor know how great these beings were at throwing festivities so that Emperor Frieza would be more gentle with his annexation of the planet. He wouldn't know until he got back to Frieza 1 though, as for now he had a very important mission he felt needed to be tended to. Captain Ginyu went about trying to wake everybody up so he could get them off the ship, as he didn't want these locals to get in the way of his top secret rescue mission. As they all groaned and got up, a very familiar static sound started playing on the speaker in the sleeping quarters, which let the elite soldier that the AI wanted to speak to him.
"Sorry to disturb you Captain Ginyu, but I have received an emergency beacon requesting for help coming from a nearby ship. Should we investigate?" the AI said to him in it's robotic, monotone voice that made the irritated elite soldier to sigh out of a sense of frustration and pain. Frustration from having to do another potential side mission, only this time doing so while immensely hungover, and pain from how loud the AI was when it was speaking to him. He grit his teeth and powered through the pain though, wanting to be in at least somewhat decent shape to help this ship requesting for help. Despite serving a tyrannical regime with loyalty and dedication, he couldn't stop himself from doing anything heroic so long as it didn't involve acting against the PTO.
He did honestly debate with himself as to whether or not he should help the ship in his mind, but eventually decided to do so because he wanted to spread his name far and wide so they would know of both his power and accolades. It was the best thing he felt he could do at the time, and he figured any exercise he might get out of this would help him shake off the hangover. He temporarily took his mind off of what the AI asked him though, and made sure to get all of the insectoid alien creatures off of his ship so he could begin both this little side mission, as well as get back to his main mission. Once he got all of the alien creatures to disembark the ship and go back to their homes, he felt now was the perfect time to address the AI. So after washing out and cleaning his teeth, he spoke up to respond to the AI.
"Please do so so, AI. I need to work off a bit of the pain in my head, so I need something to do in order to pass the time" was what Captain Ginyu said to electronic entity. The AI let out a verbal response to let the eccentric body snatcher know that his orders were received and acknowledged, and just like that the ship was back into orbit. It wasn't taking the elite PTO soldier to the Planet Pythios though, but rather to the area of space this ship asking for help was located in. The trip thankfully didn't take very long at all, because the ship was floating harmlessly in space with no signs of energy coming off of it that would indicate the ship was in. It was just broadcasting a repeating emergency distress call for help.
When the ship came into view, Captain Ginyu scanned it and saw that it must have been powered down. Emergency beacons worked differently to the other electronics found on a ship, so that explained why only the beacon was still active. Judging by the damage done to the outside of the hull, it was clear they got attacked by something. Who or what was responsible for the attack though, was anyone's guess. Ah well, it wasn't like it was anything he needed to be concerned about in the long run.
"Dock onto the ship so I can enter and see what's going on, AI!" the eccentric body snatcher answered in his usual boisterous nature. He smirked as the AI verbally acknowledged his orders like he demanded it do so whenever he ordered it around. He established that rule the day he took off, as he didn't want to be ignorant to the fact that the AI did or didn't do as he asked. Since the ship's artificial crew mate acknowledged him, he sighed under his breath and sat down to relax. He wanted to rest up a bit while his ship was docking with the ship that sent the distress call.
The moment the elite soldier's ship was docked with the ship that sent the emergency distress message, the AI spoke up to let him know.
"Docking has been successful, Captain Ginyu. You are free to come and go as you please" was what it said to the eccentric body snatcher. This caused him to smile with satisfaction, glad that the AI was slowly getting more efficient with how he did things. It meant the AI was designed just well enough to such a point it could still learn and adapt as it continued to do things.
So the thing was slowly getting more and more competent the longer it did it's duties, which is why Captain Ginyu was somewhat glad he took the experimental AI instead of taking an organic crew with him. With the docking having been accomplished, he could truly begin this little rescue mission and see if there are any survivors. He made his way to the loading ramp, which was docked to the other ship, and then made his way into the ship that was requesting help. When he stepped onto the ship though, he was horrified to see half-eaten corpses and such all strewn about, some of them in a kind of gooey webbing. Of course that was just the first things he saw, then he registered all of the creatures crawling around the ship.
They were large, alien spider-like creatures. They made a bunch of chittering and clicking noises as they darted about, the creatures sounded more like smarter-than-average animals as opposed to sentient creatures. They didn't seem to notice him at first, but they made it very obvious to Captain Ginyu when they did finally notice him. They all turned to face him, and let out enraged hissing like sounds as they all started jumping and crawling towards him. Being spooked and surprise by what he saw, the eccentric body snatcher backed away and started peppering the inside of the troubled ship with ki blasts in order to kill the spider-like hostiles.
"AI, lock down all entryways and vents in the ship so that none of these freaks can get in!" Captain Ginyu demanded to the AI over his scouter communication. He heard the docked doors leading to his ship behind slam shut and lock down tight, which let him know the artificial crew mate had done it's job correctly. Very glad that the AI did it's job successfully like it should do every time, but very much didn't, the eccentric body snatcher could focus on taking out all of these creatures. He fired what seemed like a never-ending barrage of ki blasts to vaporize and destroy both the spiders, as well as their webs and nests. He was making sure to be as thorough as possible when it came to wiping them out, as he didn't want to leave any of them alive.
When he no longer saw anymore spiders, nests, corpses, or webs anywhere in the ship, he decided that he did this little rescue mission well. Sure he couldn't rescue anyone as all the people on the ship were killed by the spiders, but wiping them out like he did would prevent other people from falling into this death trap. Of course the death trap wasn't completely take care of yet, he still had to destroy one more thing. This one remaining thing he still had to destroy, was none other than the ship itself. Even if he wiped out the nests and such, there were likely things in the walls of the ships that he didn't know about.
If he destroyed the ship, he could well and truly wipe out all of these spiders and prevent anyone who came out here from suffering death and defilement of their corpses by these sickeningly monstrous animals. Smirking to himself at coming up with a plan he thought was smart, he made his way to the engines control room. He started working on the console and eliminate some safety measures to prevent the ship's engines becoming unstable and blowing up. As soon as he did that, he then started powering up the engines and pumping out the maximum amount of power. This caused alarms to start blaring all over the ship, which was indicating the ship's engines were quickly overheating. Captain Ginyu nodded his head with satisfaction that he rigged this thing to explode, and quickly made his way back into his own ship once he told the AI to unlock the entryways.
Once was he was inside of his own ship, he made his way to the control room and strapped himself down into the captain's chair.
"AI, detach from the ship and blast us back off on course to Planet Pythios! Make sure to go full speed as I don't want to be caught in the explosion of the ship!" he said to the ship's synthetic crew mate. The AI let out a verbal confirmation acknowledging the order given to it, and quickly released the docking clamps of the ship so they released the ship with the beacon in it to retract back into their own ship. Then they blasted off deeper into space, successfully evading the massive explosion the ship generated.
As soon as the readings from the ship's explosion disappeared on all monitors on the ship, Captain Ginyu sighed to himself with relief and unstrapped himself from the captain's chair.
"My oh my, that sight was more horrifying than I thought it would be. It's a shame I couldn't save those people, but at least I made sure those alien spider creatures wouldn't be a threat to anyone else. I really need to go to sleep and rest off both the hangover and my nerves because of what I saw" the eccentric body snatcher groaned out under his breath as he rubbed his temples, standing up and moving back to the sleeping quarters.
