Personality:
Melody is a calm and collected woman.. to an extent. She prides herself on great public relations and reacting to serious situations with haste and grace alike. Those very aspects are what made her into a proper heir to the Buvelle fortune. However, her somewhat younger age in comparison to her elders often gets the better of her.
While it does take a bit of priming up, once she does get flustered, she tends to go down that rabbit hole of despair and lose herself more in the tempest of emotions. Breaking past the barrier of good faith shows a vulnerable young girl, a personality dormant due to the crafting and pampering of her lifestyle.
In casual situations, Melody is the stoic.
In formal situations, Melody is the focus.
In battle situations, Melody is the back line.
Melody's weakness comes from close quarters situations, both on and off the battlefield. She's not meant to be one to talk all too much, but perhaps that came from her.. less than verbal upbringing. To that end, she tries to keep her composure in battle and fights to keep those she cares for safe. Otherwise, avoiding confrontation or taking the shortest path to victory is her usual motto.
History:
A breath stolen away.
In the far away planet of Valor, a beautiful little girl was born to the Buvelle name. A young girl by the name of Melody. She was coveted by her parents for her birth, but the affection only lasted as long as her cries came. Days after her birth, a wicked creature targeted her family and took her as a hostage. Her bony fingers dragged along the toddler's face and let a wisp of wind drift out of the cooing creature's throat.
Her voice was stolen away from her and stored in an amulet. When she was returned to her parents in the wake of the kidnapping, they found their baby unable to make a noise. No words, no gasps, no coos of cuteness. Only a quiet creature that couldn't even say her first words. Her parents drifted away from her in terms of affection, but their teachings never stopped. Without much of an ability to communicate through speaking, she had to learn new ways to communicate growing up.
She drew in the air with a finger tipped with a small portion of Ki, letting the words flow off of her digits to communicate. She was able to conduct herself properly, but she required more effort to speak to than most. She wasn't even the most important Buvelle to speak to until her parents were dead and gone, so the men and women that spoke with her family never even began to address her.
But one day, she was surprised.
During an excursion to Earth with her family, she met someone. A demoness with a kind heart that gifted her a small amulet. She wore the amulet and suddenly, she found herself gifted with the ability to speak once again. Her lost voice had been returned to her.
She insists on staying on Earth now to repay her debt and show kindness to those who have been kind to her, using her new ability to speak to become the woman she always wanted to be.
Through training of her magical abilities, she strode forth..
Sample RP:
A silver tongue rusted and eroded by time.
Twenty five years had gone by without the woman ever being able to say a word. She looked up at her parents so many times while she was growing up, unable to part her lips and flick it in just the right way to form words. The sounds just could not leave her for some reason. It was such a long and arduous journey to get to this moment. The moment where she could..
"Talk." She glared down at her sharp heel dug into the back of a man clad in garments of ebony. The darkness of the room fell upon them both, gentle moonlight leaking in and giving the room ever so slight visibility. "What business do you have in my father's study?" The man stammered a bit, but it only prompted her to twist the heel into the man's shoulder blade.
He let out a groan beneath her. "I despise repeating myself, so you'll get away with not answering me. Just. Once." The Valoran's right palm raised and stretched out toward the back of the man's head, a sapphire aura coating her arm. A sphere formed between her digits. "Why are you here?" The man finally spoke up. "I-I was just lost! Your family recently moved in, so I--"
A yelp of pain as the heel began to pierce through pale flesh. A thin stream of crimson began to be absorbed by the dark material of the top the man was wearing. Had there been a brighter light, perhaps it would have been more obvious to the naked eye she had broke skin. Not that she cared. "You got lost. You lie poorly." Then her heel was pulled out of the minor wound she had created.
"You got lost. Wandered onto the property, slipped through a window. Then you walked right back out. That's what happened here." The man slowly began to pull himself back to his feet. "Huh..?" Melody's crimson hues glared holes through the man's skull spiritually.
"Do not 'huh' me, commoner. Leave the premises." The man's brow cocked up from beneath the ski mask he donned. "Commoner? Just because your daddy is rich doesn't mean you get to--" But he was cut off by the sudden concussive blast fired into his chest. It was just enough to knock the wind out of him. Just enough to get him onto the ground. Just enough for Melody to grab him by the leg and drag him to the window.
"This wasn't a request," she stated. Then she tossed his limp body out the window, closing and locking it behind her. She did not bother looking back to see if he was injured.
She didn't need to waste her time on thieving filth.
