Personality:
He constantly deflects any blame he might take, refusing to be held accountable for his actions. He's extremely irresponsible, not thinking through on any action he takes, often diving head first into any situation he gets into, bulldozing his way through life with reckless abandon. He's been scarred in ways that have driven him even further into madness, back to sanity, then madness again. At this point, all he wants to do if find something to put him out of his genuine misery, be it non-existence, or something pleasurable like wealth and fame.
He's learned that showing your softer emotions is not only a bad thing, but an extremely dangerous thing. Others will use and manipulate you, twisting your feelings to their advantage, or pull of them to hurt you even further. He's become untrusting and jaded, hardened by the flames of the demon world. His face has long since become a mask for him to wear, only using it to display what he wants you to think he feels, or to pretend to empathise with others to hurt them, like they would do to him. If all that fails to fool them, then he'll lie and cheat and steal to get what he wants.
His personality emerges in full whenever Keija is forced to use his Demonic Form. His entire personality shifts completely as he can no longer deny the demonic influence has upon him. In this form, Keij is sadistic and cruel. He delights in the pain of others, and finds nothing less than pure joy at the suffering of his enemies. Keij aims to make anyone he finds unappealing suffer to the maximum extent he can, using his powers to fill them with terror. He wants his victims to scream for it to end before he will lift his blade to finally end them.
History:
Death....that's what he see's everytime he sleeps, nothing but countless bodies piling up one another.
Keijaku lived in the not-so good part of the demon world, demons commiting crimes or killing among others without a second thought of remorse.
One day before he went to sleep his father told keija about the family sycthe called Shi no haaku, he said it could grant the user immense power and combat abilities. He told her that once he grows older, he'll be able to obtain it and carry until the next generation.
Keijaku was very interested in combat, he's heard stories about how his father participating in raids and being able to see the outside world with his own two eyes. Hell, everday when he arrives home he always asks him about his adventures. He once told keijaku about an enemy they've encountered known as humans. Being curious he asked what they are,
That's when he realized not everything was sunshine and rainbows, he told him all about the humans how they're a race of despicable people who discriminate against demons for fun.
Knowing this he believed his father, which caused him to hate humans despite not knowing their true motivations or purpose.
As a result of hearing this keijaku wanted to become a fighter, to hopefully combat these so called "humans" and make them pay for their wrongdoing.
Both mother and father wanted what's best for their son, so they decided the best way to do it was to allow him to be with them once a day. Each day teaching him a new skill to make him a better fighter.
He was given two sides of the coin, his father teaching him how to use a variety of different weapons and hand-to-hand combat incase he is in a situation without one. Mother on the other hand, taught him to cook,clean and how to act towards other people without making them feel intimidated.
They always trained within the basement of their home, since it mostly consisted of old pictures and boxes.
The weapon of his choice was always the scythe, which intreged his father who assumed he'd take a ranged weapon rather then a close-quarters one. Once he chose his weapon, she and her father began training. At first, he couldn't even hit his father without either falling or getting punched in the gut.
However, over the course of years he learned different ways of making an impratical weapon work such as using hs footwork and twirling and spinning to build up momentum and keep himself protected, as well as enabling more than one attack in a single push, allowing him to twist the blade around into multiple strikes.
At long last, he turned the appropriate age to wield the family sycthe just like ancestors before him had. However, the only way he could obtain it was to fight his father in a one on one match.
Both he and his father were given two long swords to combat each other, he could feel the immense weight of the sword in he hands.
As he and his father clashed, he thought he was gaining the upperhand and However his father wasn't a pushover, he parry'ed his strikes effortlessly and began to thrust his sword towards him, he dodged it but it cut off a bit of hair.
Once they continued fighting keijaku emerged victorious but barely survived. As promised, he was given the family scythe. He's always treasured it ever since.
