Personality: Mitochon is a lurker, to say the very least. He spends much of his time moving through shadows and in the darkness of the world, knowing the people he was made to protect and help would never fully accept him, the scars of those claimed to be outsiders still healing. Moai was still seeking to reclaim power, and Mitochon was attempting to build himself up and learn what he could about the new world he found himself in, seeking to remain in the background.

When finally cornered, if his own curiosity is pushed to it's limit, Mitochon is talkative, curious, intelligent for his people, and always seeking to find more "world lore". Though he is somewhat distrustful of aliens, he knows he cannot judge everyone by the hue of their chitin.

History: Mitochon doesn't recall much from his larval or pupa stages of life, as he was little more than a wild beast, but... The computers recall. They always remember.

Mitochon was created by a half mad scientist, one who was hell bent on repairing the damage done to his people by so many races. The alien had traveled across the galaxy, learning much and putting together an insane idea. Gathering the genetics of many races, he attempted splicing again and again, trying to find what worked with what race. There had been many successes in coding, but very rarely did it lead to a being that would be considered stable. Saiyan genetics created wonderful warriors, but their lust for battle and war would only lead to ruin in time. Human were primative and while they carried great potential, it was a roll of the dice if all of them could. Many other alien races carried traits he could use, but what it boiled down to was simple: Namekian for the base genome, as they had good strength and tempered it with wisdom and thinking. Shinjin for the fighting energy, allowing them great strength and durability, along with an understanding of what the universe is all about. Finally, the Changelings, a race with mutants of great power, but all of them built in a way to simply survive it all.

After finding a proper genetic sample of all of them, Mitochon was created. It took years to code the genes, more to grow it into a larval state, and he knew the creature would need to be in the wilds, allowing it to draw forth energy and power from the world itself, learning to protect that which it had come to call it's home. Releasing the larval form on the world, the nearly mad man watched and waited.

But he never was allowed to reach this point. Arlia had been destroyed, and when it returned, he was not among those who had been brought back, but his legacy was still there. Mitochon had been revived with the rest, and this creature was among those who might change the fate of the world.

In the years that followed, Mitochon fed, grew, shed his outer layers, and eventually reached enough biomass to pupate. It had been years since that time, and Mitochon rose up from the self made shell, aware of the world and his place near the top.
