Personality: Avarus can be described in many ways, selfish, lazy, territorial, patient, cautious, intelligent, cultured, destructive, sneaky, greedy, resourceful, and reserved. He has two things he cares for, his remaining family members, and his ship. He is absolutely obsessed with his ship, it acts as a home permanent home but he treats it like it's his own child, he will brutally murder anyone who dares even lays the smallest of scratches or dents in it. He is also protective of his last remaining sister, having lost his previous two sisters, he feels it is his duty to ensure her safety, even if they often argue and bicker over even the pettiest of things. Avarus never had the sense of pride seen in others such as the Saiyans, instead, he takes pride in his career as a bounty hunter, he aims to be one of the best and most notorious bounty hunters the universe has ever seen and will act hostile towards those he feels my be trying to take his bounty from his claws. He mostly does not take sides in conflicts but will link up with those willing to pay him a great amount to do their bidding, doubling down as a mercenary in order to obtain more of a reputation and a pretty reward at the end of it. Avarus does not seek out fights with other people unless they have a nice bounty on their heads and he knows he can take them but will defend himself from those forcing conflict upon him. He is by no means an evil person, but he is no good person either, he is willing to do bad things if it means he gets paid or he obtains a reputation, but he has limits, he doesn't favor genocide but he would murder innocents as long as there's a purpose or heavy payment involved.
History: Avarus was born on planet U2 under a mob boss, he was born alongside three younger sisters to a family that would never see starvation. When he was a baby however his father and mother decided to flee the planet for a densely populated field world. He was always told growing up that they fled because the planetary law enforcement was on his case his father wanted to leave the criminal lifestyle in order to provide a safer and stable future for his children, however, that was not the reason at all. His parents left because of the rampaging genocidal robots and didn't want to risk being more sacks of meat cut down by those pieces of scrap metal. Avarus and his sisters would spend their whole childhoods in the family field. Avarus would show to be the most eager to learn fighting as he surpassed his sisters at a very early age and harassed his father until he agreed to teach him. They would have normal childhoods growing up, he was constantly an annoyance to his sisters as they were to him, and he would learn how to read people in order to find new ways to tick them off and give him the best reactions.
The day would come when they became old enough to leave the family home, Avarus would be the first one being the oldest, and it did not take him long to want to leave the boring planet he grew up on. He did not want a boring life but one with purpose, excitement, and a very high payout, all while using his best talents in order to achieve that. This desire lead him to the first wanted board he found on a space station. His first bounty was some alien runt who was caught in bed with the wife of the ruling monarch of the planet below the station, so Avarus decided to snatch it before anyone else got a glimpse at it. He would fail at capturing him three times despite being ten times more powerful, but ultimately he would catch his bounty and deliver it to the rather angry client. Receiving his first reward, he was determined to make this his full-time career. Ever since then he has been rising up and obtaining a reputation, but through the years he would, unfortunately, loose two of his sisters to the cold grasp of death. One sister died of a sickness that spread on the planet she settled in like wildfire, but the other sister, the sister that actually had an interest in fighting and fought Avarus many times when they were growing up, died in an arena tournament to a rather psychotic and notorious arena fighter. Because of this Avarus took a lengthy break from bounty hunting to track this arena cunt down to end his life and avenge his dead sister. Once he finally after a long period of time traveling from planet to planet on a goose chase he finally caught up to him.
Once he caught up to him he assaulted the fighter in the middle of a heavily populated city, giving no care to whoever was in the crossfire just as long as this man was dead. It was a long and harsh battle that would nearly cost Avarus his life, but at the end, he got his revenge and his opponent now lay dead on the road surrounded by frightened bystanders. Since then he got back into the game of bounty hunting and mercenary work, and now he seeks to get stronger and stronger in order to have to ability to hunt down bigger and tougher prey.
Sample RP: Unity of Dragons Part 15, Lesson on The Gods
The Temple of the Dragons stood tall in the capital city Zendeth, it was Varadin’s biggest temple, a true wonder built by the Doniens in appreciation and worship of their gods. Like any other temple in Varadun it would provide many services, it housed orphaned children as well as feed and after them, raised them, and taught them the teachings of Zendrarth so they can become monks or shamans when they grow older, that is if they so chose to stay in the temple’s service. It also held spiritual services for the general population, answering questions and guiding lost souls. It hosted festivals and religious rituals on holiday, cared for the sick, and secretly under the High King’s orders, kept the corpses of the bronze man and their monstrosity that fell from the sky those few years ago deep in the temple's underground tunnels which remains off limits to the general population. They would come to refer to these creatures as the term Bronzewalkers. One of the higher monks previously left the tunnels, leaving the temple guard standing guard outside the entrance. When he was walking down one of the halls he was taking time to process what he had just witnessed, he and his associates worked day and night with the scholars to find out what these bronze monstrosities were. They say the High King and the Temple Overseer were visited by Zendrarth himself on the island of Rooch, but all they got about the bronzwalkers was that they were creations of times long before the first Doniens walked upon the Garden, but they did not know their master. There was nothing they could find on any ancient tablet they possessed, there was nothing the ancient Doniens left behind that foretold any of this, and there was no way to know where the bronzewalkers came from, but Zendrarth destroyed them himself, so they must have had evil intentions.
He believed there could be no other explanation, like everyone else who knew, he believed that this was the sign of the return of the forbidden god, the Traitor god Vokkus. He could not believe it, there was no doubt in his mind, that the prophecy was true, Vokkus will return to continue his war against the mortal world, before continuing his conquest into the spirit world itself as he once had in ancient times, and it will be within his lifetime, he will see Vokkus’s fowl spawn pour into the edge of the world, and Donien kind’s defense will decide the fate of the world. While he was deep in thought he would receive a tap on the shoulder, looking over he would see a servant with a fine tray with a vase of fresh wine and glasses. The other Donien would begin to speak. “I saw you looked troubled, shaman Madach said should give out wine to the temple’s thirsty, would you care for some.” He asked. The Monk while surprised could only just nod his head, taking the glass and letting the young Donien pour his beverage. “Thank you brother, I could use a refreshment.” He responded. The servant would pour the wine, In many other places it may have been off to drink such a beverage in a holy area, but things like wine were held dear to the Doniens, to them it was viewed as a way to be closer with the gods and truly know one’s self. “Of course. So, what is bothering you? Do you care to share?” Asked the servant as he finished pouring the drink. The Donien sighed, taking the glass and taking the first sip. “I wish I could tell you, but I can’t.” The Monk responded. The servant nodded, refilling the little bit of the glass after the monk brought it down. “I see, I will not bother you about it any further, then. I do come around this temple baring a question, the shaman wanted me to seek out the answers wherever I can in this temple, can you help me?” Asked the servant. The monk was taken back a bit but was happy he did not press further. He nodded his head. “Of course brother, what question do you come to this temple with?” Asked the monk, taking another sip of his wine.
The servant would respond. “The gods, what are their purposes, what are their roles? I was taught there is Zendrarth, his wife Etelina, then his four sons, those are all the gods correct?” He asked. The Monk would give him a response, but first, he would take another sip of his wine. “Ah yes, the gods and their roles. My brother you are correct, Zendrarth and his family are the ones who rule the spirit world. Zendrarth is the all-father, all-creator. He is the one who created us, my brother, he is the father of all Doniens and Dragons, and is the direct son of the Spirit of Balance. It is his four sons however who change the seasons, not Zendrath. You see my brother, it is Helius who bring’s spring to light, the one who roams freely and spreads revolution. Thelius is the one who brings summer’s breeze, one who shines Varadun’s beaches with the sun and brings the fishes to the bay, he is the one who brings order and chooses lords. Varica is the one who brings fall’s calling, the one who harvests the life of the trees, the one who teaches the craftsmen and the smith, and the one who brings war. Vamgos is the one who brings winter’s snow, the one who hides his treasures deep within his blankets of snow and ice, he is the one who brings death and knowledge. Zendrarth’s wife, Etelina, plants the energy of life within the water and onto the crops and keeps life flowing, she is the one who keeps the water flowing under both Vamgos’s ice and under Thelius’s sun alike. Then, you have the forbidden one, the traitor god, Vokkus. He is the brother of Zendrarth and son of the same ancient Spirit, but he is a deceiver, never to be trusted. He remains banished to the Abyss, his chunk of the Spirit world he conquered. Vokkus is the master of lies and betrayal, fixated on conquering both the mortal and spiritworld, and will only lead you to your destruction.”
