Personality:
Sigma's personality can go two ways. When he is his normal self, he tends to be kind and helpful. Sigma is also easy going and quick to make friends. His mind is keen and he's always felt a draw towards the sciences, though he is unsure if that is an actual interest or programming.
When the Gero sub-programming is active, Sigma is cold and unapproachable. He prefers not to be side tracked from his work or anything concerning it. His easy-going demenor is shed in favor of a drive to complete the goals he has been programmed with and heavens help anyone who gets in the way of that plan.
History:
During Doctor Gero's brief ressurection, he made updates to his super computer. One of the remote sites Gero set up as a back up, activated. While he was hard at work on a formula to help Cell become perfect, the back up site's job was to learn from the data gathered and intercede only if Cell failed in his mission. Gero fell, but the server system remained in tact. Once Cell fell, all the data from his fight as well as data from the observing his future version's data was analyzed. While the computer did not have complete information about the future version of Cell, enough data was gathered by the drones for it to make some very good guesses. Project Sigma was created with that data in mind.
After many trial and error attempts, human form Bio-Android Sigma, emerged from the pod six years later. He spent time using the Doctor's computer network to familiarize himself with the world around him. The Supercomputer explained Sigma's purpose as given to him by their creator: To become Cell's perfect successor and to carry on his "father's legacy". After much consideration, the Bio-Android rejected this purpose. He had no desire to pick up where the doctor left off. His frustration with the computer's continual pushing and his own wanderlust got the best of him and he finally emerged from the secret cave complex.
For the past six months, Sigma has been traveling the world as a vagrant, learning first hand about the people in it and trying to reject the evil Doctor's plans. Unbeknownst to him, Sigma's brain is actually laden with hidden programming left over from his creator. While he might reject his creator's plans, he has come to the point where those plans may choose him. He hopes to one day wake up from this nightmare that his "father" has trapped him in.
Sample RP:
The hour was getting late. Sigma had just finished washing up the dishes for the diner he'd been working at. The elderly couple that owned it had been letting Sigma stay there in exchange for doing odd jobs around the diner, which he was very grateful for. In a few minutes, it would be time to close up and then he would clean up and settle down for the night with a book. Then the bell above the front door rang. Customers showing up ten minutes before closing. Wasn't that always the way?
The Bio-Android hung the towel over his shoulder and moved towards the window to see what the impending order would look like. The situation was very different than he expected. Marie, the elderly owner manning the register was being held at gunpoint. Three men were standing across the counter from her. One had a gun, the other two didn't seem to have weapons, but looked imposing. Marie had been nothing but kind to Sigma in the days since he'd wandered out of the wasteland, looking rather homeless. This would not stand.
Sigma stepped out from the kitchen and looked them over. "Is there a problem here?"
"No, no problem at all. I just want all the money in the register and I want it yesterday. Why? You have a problem with that?"
"I do, actually." The Bio-Android said slowly. "I have a very large problem with it." The artificial man took two steps forward and Marie shook her head at Sigma, trying to warn him off. The man with the gun spun and trained it on Sigma now.
"Maybe I don't actually care what you think, Dishwasher. Go back to your dishes before I decide you look better with extra holes."
"You need to leave. Now."
"Is that right? I need to leave? You hear this guys?"
There were chuckles from his gang as they mocked Sigma, but none of them moved to take the Android. Then, without warning the gunman fired the revolver. The .357 magnum slug left the barrel with a deafening sound and flash. Sigma thought he was about to take an injury when something changed.
Red lines of code scrolled through Sigma's vision and his hand came up, catching the lead slug between two fingers, much to the shock of the attackers. Then he moved. The artificial man in the t-shirt and jeans moved in a flash, whipping the towel off his shoulder and knocking the gun out of line. He then snapped the towel into the second man's face with such force that the thug stumbled back, screaming, hands clutched to his bleeding face. Sigma grabbed the revolver out of the hands of the stunned "leader" of the group and then promptly smashed the butt of the pistol into the third thug's throat, dropping him.
Sigma's left hand transformed into a black armored claw and he jammed it into the shocked leader's chest, drawing another scream. There was a glow of energy surrounding the man and his entire body vanished into Sigma's hand. Lines of energy flowed up his transformed arm as he repeated the process with the last two, leaving no trace of them behind but the gun.
Marie stood there with a horrified look on her face as Sigma's hand transformed back into a normal hand. He looked up at her and then at the gun in his other hand. "I'm sorry. You've been kind to me. I must go." The words came out with little emotion as the shock was still evident for the Bio-Android.
The Bio-Android ran out into the parking lot and took off into the sky as fast as he could. As he flew, the lines of code danced across his eyes again. Then a voice rang out in his head, causing him to stop and grab his ears. "You thought you could avoid your destiny. Well, no more of this foolishness. Proceed with my plan. Now."
The look on Sigma's face changed as his mind was shackled by the programming. He straightened up in the sky now and when his eyes opened they were harder. "I will obey. The program must continue." Energy surrounded Sigma as he blasted off towards the hidden desert outpost.
